Desk cycles have always shadowed treadmill desks and got outshined by more outrageous bike desks, but the stream of new products keeps the interest for the category alive. Twice the price of its closest competitor from Stamina, this 3.5-lb folding cycle comes with its own branded bag and a chair strap that keeps the device from traveling as you push the pedals forward.
As the inventor Robin Palmer, a former Broadway star, got less and less time for fitness, she had to do something to counteract the harmful effects of sitting. She built a team that includes a space engineer, a retired Delta Airlines pilot, and an IoT specialist and designed a set of portable pedals that was successfully crowdfunded through Indiegogo.
