What Is a Corner Standing Desk Converter?
Corner standing desk converters feature curved work surfaces designed to fit optimally on full-sized corner desks and l-desks. Their angled edges fit snugly in the back corner of your desk so you can maximize usable desk space, leaving plenty of room for your papers, devices, and other work accessories.
Looking for a full-sized corner standing desk or l-shaped standing desk instead, not a converter? See our round-ups of the best corner standing desks and best l-shaped standing desks.
The key benefits of buying a corner standing desk converter are:
- To optimize space on your corner desk or l-shaped desk.
- Deeper work surfaces. This is especially important if you have a large monitor or dual monitors. (Shallow work surfaces may keep you too close to your screen(s) for comfort.)
What if you don’t have a corner desk or an l-desk? You still may want to consider a corner standing desk converter. Many users prefer these devices due to their extra spacious work surfaces. Note that corner standing desk converters may come with Z-Lift, X-Lift, or Electric lift mechanisms.

Best Corner Standing Desk Converters
1. iMovR ZipLift+ Corner Standing Desk Converter
The Ziplift Corner is everything we loved about the Ziplift+, but adapted to fit optimally on your corner desk. A wider and deeper work surface, a higher lift capacity, and a third grommet hole make the ZipLift Corner a perfect upgrade for those with the space. It features the same smooth gas-strut lift mechanism with infinite height adjustment, as well as a tilting keyboard tray, so finding your optimal ergonomic position is a breeze. Read our full review
Price: $699
2. Flexispot Classic 41″ Corner Standing Desk Converter
Not the most ergonomically sound given the lack of adjustability on the keyboard tray. But if you’re looking for “second-to-none” stability and spacious work surfaces, the FlexiSpots are some of the best standing desk converters on the market. Read our full review
Price: $149.99
3. Flexispot AlcoveRiser M7C 35″ Corner Standing Desk Converter
A single X-Lift frame may normally cry quality concerns, but the Alcove M7 series from Flexispot is a durable and sturdy fleet of desk risers. The corner version features an extra-deep work surface and is shaped to fit seamlessly in corner areas. Note the keyboard tray doesn’t rest completely flush with the tabletop in the sitting position and that you will be required to assemble the keyboard tray (no tools). Overall, a top contender in the lowest cost tier of corner desk converters. Read our full review
Price: $249
4. Ergotron WorkFit Corner Standing Desk Converter
Ergotron’s WorkFit Corner Standing Desk Converter is one of the highest-priced manual corner standing desk converters we’ve seen on the market and a major improvement over the (extremely overpriced) Varidesk Cube Corner models. The Ergotron WorkFit Corner provides a smoother height transition, solid stability at all heights, and a spacious keyboard tray for larger keyboards. It still lacks a tilting keyboard tray found on more ergonomic models like the iMovR ZipLift Corner. Read our full review
Price: $454.50
5. Versadesk Power Pro Corner Standing Desk Converter
Like its relative, the Versadesk Power Pro, the Power Pro Corner looks good from a glance at the specs but has issues that detract from the overall impression. Particleboard construction and high-pressure laminate surfaces aren’t associated with lifetime quality guarantee, and the pinch points leave us concerned. The transit speed is quite slow. On the plus side, there are five colors available. The corner model also features a 7” deeper work surface than the Power Pro. Read our full review
Price: $495
6. VIVO Electric Corner Standing Desk Converter
Concerns include product length of life, enough space for mouse work, and too many pinch points. Worth checking out higher quality, slightly more expensive electric alternatives. Read our full review
Price: $ 229.99
7. Varidesk Cube Corner Standing Desk Converter
The Cube Corner cuts down on the Varidesk’s traditionally bulky footprint with a triangular work surface designed to fit in compact office spaces. But despite these improvements over the original Varidesk, the Cube Corner still isn’t up to par with other popular standing desk converters on the market, which have smoother height adjustment mechanisms and better ergonomics. Its spring locking height adjustment system is a clunky holdover from the original Varidesk that makes it difficult to find the perfect height, while a $125 “optional” monitor arm is absolutely necessary if you want to work in a proper ergonomic posture. For its final $620 asking price, you can opt for much more advanced workstations with nifty features. Read our full review
Price: $525
8. VIVO Corner (DESK-V000VC) Standing Desk Converter
Impossible for us to recommend if you’re looking for a durable, high-quality desk converter. Concerns include product length of life, stability with heavy monitors, enough space for mouse work, and too many pinch points in the frame. Worth checking out higher quality, slightly more expensive alternatives. Read our full review
Price: $179.99
9. MountIt 48″ Corner Standing Desk Converter
The MountIt Corner 48” Standing Desk Converter may be tempting due to its low price point, but you’ll likely be buying a replacement in a few months’ time. A series of fatal flaws include a large 1 ¾” gap between your keyboard tray and your tabletop in the seated position, making typing highly uncomfortable. A weak counterbalance mechanism makes lifting heavy monitors nearly impossible, and the unit is reported to slide around your tabletop while lifting. We highly recommend exploring other low-cost options, including Eureka’s 28” Corner model. Read our full review
Price: $ 210
Discontinued Standing Desk Converters
At WorkWhileWalking we’ve been lab testing and writing reviews of ergonomic office furniture and accessories for over a decade. In that time, we have seen many of the products we reviewed fall by the wayside. This is inevitable due to the cycle of continuous improvement, with new models supplanting their predecessors. Of course in some cases products weren’t as competitive as they needed to be, or their manufacturers ran into financial challenges (which very much accelerated as a result of the post-pandemic economy).
For whatever reason, these products now fall into the discontinued category, but we will still keep their reviews published and available to read. Whether you want to know more about the desk, monitor arm, etc. that you bought years ago, need more info because someone is selling one second hand, or just want to compare current offerings with what was available in the past, these reviews will remain here for your reference.
1. Eureka 28" Corner Standing Desk Converter

Precision height adjustment, impeccable stability, and impressive build quality make this a desk converter to consider.

Top 4 Factors to Consider When Buying a Corner Standing Desk Converter
1. Do You Use Large Monitors or Dual Monitors?
If you use large or dual monitors, a corner desk converter could likely be the right choice for you. Corner desk converters oftentimes have larger work surface depth. A deeper work surface is ideal for larger screens because it creates more distance between you and your monitors. Otherwise, you may be too close to your screens, causing strain on your eyes.
2. What Weight Capacity Do You Need?
Weight capacity could be an issue especially if you want to add an ergonomic monitor arm. Beware that some cheaper models, like MountIt, advertise higher weight capacities than the unit is actually able to handle. This is because the weak counterbalance force in the lift mechanism isn’t strong enough to lift the additional weight. You are left having to hoist nearly the full weight of the unit up by yourself, and this can cause strain on your back. Better models have more powerful counterbalance forces that do most of the lifting for you.
3. How Noisy is the Unit?
Noise level will depend on the type of lift mechanism the unit employs, and the quality of that mechanism. Read our detailed reviews to learn more about each unit’s noise level. Depending on how quiet you need to be in your office environment, this could be an important factor for you to consider.
4. Is the Unit Ergonomically-sound?
We cannot stress the importance of this factor strongly enough. Standing at work creates new ergonomic challenges that need to be dealt with, and one of the most important is keeping your monitors at the proper height, distance, and angles. Ergonomic monitor arms are the most effective way to guarantee proper positioning. Keeping your monitor on its stand while standing will cause you to strain your neck looking down, and over time, this can create serious neck problems. Another new ergonomic challenge from standing is proper typing angles. Most desk converters don’t have tilting keyboard trays, but the most ergonomically-sound models do, like the ZipLift+ Corner.
